The first time ever we saw your faces...

Earlier this month we took the stage for the first time as a four-piece, and In NYC of all places -- what a rush. After months of intense rehearsal, it was such a thrill to bring a few of these songs to life in front of a packed house at The Delancey. And what a beautiful crowd it was. Thanks for making us feel loved. We hope we were able to send some love back your way too.

Now it's back to work, dialing in a few new songs and dusting off some old ones at the space as we look towards our next show -- announcement coming soon with the details. We're pretty excited to take things up a notch for this one.

We're also mixing the second to last track for our upcoming release this week, which feels very good as it's been nine months -- that's baby makin' time -- since Matthew Lauritsen and I holed up in Mission Sound studio to come away with the best drum tracks I've ever heard on our songs. There's a lot to fret about right now in this world, and a lot of that tension is sandblasted into this music we've been making. Worry is inevitable but ultimately useless so onward we go. Sometimes it's hard to tell if you're drilling towards the light or deeper into the darkness, but we're very pleased to have you come along as we find the questions to our answers.

Meet The Band

Hello fellow victims of modern life! We have a very exciting announcement for you -- a new band for a new year.

The current lineup includes drummer Matthew Lauritsen, multi-instrumentalist Ryan Deeter, and bassist Matt Heymann. Along with a slew of shows to reveal this powerful new lineup, 2017 will mark the beginning of a series of EP releases that show Children Having Children in their current restless and raucous state. These will be the first recordings since the band delivered its critically-inflamed debut album Mice in late 2014.
